Role of Women During WWII - Some worked as nurses for the soldiers during this time - Some tried to help out in the war - A lot stood home to watch the rest of their family - Some took the jobs that were available from places when men were at war Cause & Effect of Use of the Atomic Bomb - The United States bombed Japan under many circumstances (twice). -This caused death of millions of people Also the US hoped to end the war, but it didnt work out as planned. US Foreign Policy Before/During/After the War: -Before the US was isolationist -During the US joined in the middle of the war, we didnt want to get involved till the US got attacked -After the war the US got involved in foreign affairs, and joined the United Nations Effects of the War in Europe: -There was a bad Economic Change. -There were many many casualties. -Imperialism was finally put to an end. Effect of Pearl Harbor: -Caused another dropping of the atomic bomb. -There was an immediate US declaration of war against Japan. -Anyone who was a decent of Japanese or is Japanese were relocated to isolated camps. Japanese Internment Camps: -Japanese or Japanese decents were sent to relocation camps because they were concidered a threat since the attack of Pearl Harbor. -Korematsu v. US this was the order that put Japanese Americans into camps. Neutrality Acts: -1935-1937 -Cannot sell weapons to countries at war. That would be embargo. -US battle ships could not be armed. -Americans could only travel on ships to countries at war. Purpose of Propaganda: -Propaganda was very deceitful. -Anyone who sees it believes what ever it says Rationing: -Americans all over were being asked to use less of everything so that most of it can be reserved for our amy. -Families would ration out food, clothing, And gas just for our soldiers.
